In his biggest race of the year:  the Pro 2 vs. Pro 4 Challenge Cup, Rob “Fig” Naughton captured the victory  

This marks Naughton’s 4th win of the season.  Naughton dedicated his win to fallen fellow racers Rick and Jeff Huseman who recently died in a plane crash. 

Cup races are typically more aggressive than regular season points races and the 2011 Lucas Oil Challenge Cup was one of the most aggressive ever.  But Naughton kept his cool, sometimes taking unique lines in order to avoid conflict and made sure he was there at the end.  The strategy paid off in the end and Naughton captured the cup and the $30,000 check. 

Naughton finished the 2011 season with 4 wins and 2 second place finishes.
